Down 2-0 in the NBA Finals to the Lakers and without Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic, the Heat looked like they were destined to be swept by LeBron James and the Lakers.
But Jimmy Butler had other plans. In Game 3, he hit another level, tallying the third 40-point triple-double in NBA Finals history to lift Miami to a 115-104. The series deficit is cut in half and if Miami can get their injured stars back, things could get real interesting.
Typically when a star player has a game for the ages like this, his peers are usually out on social media gassing him up. Sunday night was no exception, and Bradley Beal was one of those fellow players hyped at what he just witnessed.

Butler's job isn't finished yet, and there's an unfortunate history for those to record a 40-point triple-double in the NBA Finals.
The previous two players to do it -- LeBron James (2015) and Jerry West (1969) -- both lost the games in which they pulled it off.
For James, it was Game 5 in a 2-2 series against the Warriors and his Cavs went on to lose in six games. For West, it was Game 7 against the Celtics. Granted he was the first and only player to win Finals MVP without actually winning the title.
Will Butler follow suit or lead the Heat to an improbable title over a team that's clearly more talented than them? Game 4 should be a good one.
