FINAL CEREMONY AT SYRACUSE’S COLUMBUS STATUE? What could be the last annual wreath laying ceremony at the statue of Christopher Columbus in downtown Syracuse took place on Monday. Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced last week he plans to remove the statue and rename Columbus Circle. The statue will go to a private site that has not yet been determined.
