Draymond triple-doubles remain great news for Warriors' record originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea
Draymond Green's triple-doubles continue to be a positive omen for the Warriors.
Green scored 11 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished 12 assists in Golden State's 131-119 win over the Utah Jazz at Chase Center on Sunday. It was the 31-year-old's 26th career triple-double, and the Warriors' record in those games is unmatched in NBA history.

The Warriors outscored the Jazz by 19 points with Green on the floor Sunday, which was tied with birthday boy Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins for the best mark on the team. Green's first-half scoring proved vital to that advantage.
He scored all 11 of his points in the first 24 minutes, just behind Curry (14) and Wiggins (12). Green kept Utah's defense honest as a tertiary scoring threat, and Golden State improved to 6-1 this season during games in which the three-time NBA All-Star has finished with at least 10 points.
The Warriors, by contrast, are just 11-15 when Green has scored fewer than 10 points. In all, Golden State has lost five of the last six games in which Green has failed to hit double digits.

Green's averaging just 6.1 points per game this season, his lowest total since he was a rookie. When you combine that output with Wiggins and Kelly Oubre Jr. rarely firing on the same night, Curry is shouldering a disproportionate load of the of the Warriors' offense.
Curry still scored 32 points Sunday, but he didn't do it all by himself. Wiggins chipped in 28, while Jordan Poole and James Wiseman scored 18 and 16, respectively, off the bench. Sunday was a clear sign of Golden State's potential when Curry doesn't have to do it all by himself.
Green's not going to post a triple-double every single night, but he can up his scoring. The Warriors will be much better for it when he does.
