ATLANTA — Atlanta police have arrested and charged a second person with murder after a triple shooting in May that left a 15-year-old girl dead.

Officers were called to the 700 block of Glenwood Avenue just before 10 p.m. on May 1 to find three people suffering from gunshot wounds.

Investigators say a fight at the shopping center near Grant Park led to a shooting that claimed the life of high school freshman Diamond Johnson, who was pronounced dead on the scene.

The other two victims were treated for their injuries.

Friends told Channel 2′s Steve Gehlbach after the shooting that Johnson was outside the Waffle House at the Glenwood Park Shopping Plaza with a group of friends when bullets started flying.

More than five months later, police have charged a second person with Johnson’s murder: 18-year-old Tariq Grier. He was arrested on October 18 and faces charges of murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Both Parham and Grier are being held in the Fulton County Jail.
