KISSIMMEE, Fla. – A triple homicide investigation prompted a large law enforcement presence at an Osceola County complex Tuesday morning, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
At a news conference Tuesday, Sheriff Marcos Lopez said a person of interest in the investigation, a man in his early 40s, is currently barricaded in a potentially stolen car in Orange County, threatening “suicide by cop.”

Deputies said the investigation is taking place at two separate scenes, near an apartment or condo complex at Royal Palm Drive and Gardener Lane, east of Kissimmee near East Lake Tohopekaliga.
“We believe that he is involved in all three (deaths) according to the witness. We just don’t have, you know, 100% yet because it’s still an ongoing investigation right now,” Lopez said.
According to Lopez, the three victims are believed to be two adults and a child, none of whom investigators suspect are related to the person of interest.
He added that they believe it was a fatal shooting, with one body found at a different building than the other two victims.
Lopez said the person of interest has a history of mental health and drug use issues.
Deputies are currently trying to make contact with the man.
Visuals from Sky 6 show several law enforcement vehicles at the scene, with a building blocked by crime tape.
