“How do you feel about Bernie bros and gals who attack people who speak out against Bernie on social media?” host Charlamagne tha God asked Ocasio-Cortez, who has endorsed Sanders in the presidential race and is one of his most popular surrogates.

Ocasio-Cortez responded by saying she sees “some of those behaviors” as “unacceptable,” adding, “It's one thing to be to be tough in a debate and to point out hypocrisy and to say, ‘You know, this doesn't make any sense’ or ‘This position hurts working people.’ It's one thing to say that.”
“It's another thing to just be dehumanizing. And the thing about the internet is that it is just like, it puts dehumanization on hyperspeed,” she continued. “And we see that everywhere from our schools all the way up to, you know, adults. Like, it's just so easy now for a kid to drop a comment, for a person to drop a comment that they would never say in real life.”
“Even with the president,” host DJ Envy chimed in. “The president threw some shots with you I don’t think he would ever to say to your face.”
"He called you a 'wack job,'" Charlamagne said, referring to a tweet Trump sent last year attacking the congresswoman.
“Oh, no, he would not. Yeah, he never would,” Ocasio-Cortez said smiling, adding to some laughs from Charlamagne, “Like, keep that same energy when you meet me.”
Host Angela Yee told Ocasio-Cortez she thinks it's “a compliment” when “Donald Trump doesn’t like you.”
“Yeah, well I mean, I think he’s scared,” Ocasio-Cortez continued.
Last October, Trump called Ocasio-Cortez a “wack job” on Twitter in response to a post he retweeted at the time mocking a woman who had called for “eating babies” to fight the climate crisis at a town hall meeting held by the congresswoman. Ocasio-Cortez later revealed that the woman turned out to be a Trump supporter.
When asked in the interview on Tuesday whether she was surprised by the swipe from Trump at the time, Ocasio-Cortez said she wasn’t and added that she even “felt it coming.”
"I felt it coming because ... he’s obsessed with television, and so he responds to things that he sees on television, and because I’m on Fox News like all the time it felt like it was kind of a matter of time," she said.

“I don’t know if I blame the media for that or him,” Charlamagne went on to say.
“It's both,” Ocasio-Cortez responded. “It's an addictive unhealthy relationship that they have. They can't stop covering him, and he can't stop consuming it.”
