Some snow then some cold - KBJR 6

TODAY/TONIGHT: Today we will see partly sunny skies and mild temperatures. Highs will be in the mid-20’s with winds out of the WSW 10-15mph. Overall, a pretty quiet day!

Tonight we will see increasing clouds with a chance of some light snow showers north of the Ports. Likely just the International Border region and after midnight. Lows will be in the teens and 20’s.

WEDNESDAY: A potent cold front will press through the region on Wednesday. This will bring a 70% chance of some light snow showers through the day. Temperatures will be in the lower 20’s in the Ports most of the day, but then dropping fast overnight. New snow accumulations through Wednesday night will be 1-3” for most of the region, but the Snow-Belt region in Wisconsin could see 3-6” due to lake effect overnight.

THURSDAY: On Thursday we will be very cold. Morning wind chill values will be in the 40’s below zero in spots with actual air temperatures in the teens and 20’s below zero. Lake effect snow will continue for the South Shore, but the rest of the region will see sunny skies. Highs will struggle to make it above zero.

FRIDAY: A ridge of warm air will move in to relieve us of the bitter cold. Highs will still only be around 10° in the Ports, but at least we are heading in the right direction. Expect partly cloudy to partly sunny skies and southerly winds.
