One man suffered life-threatening injuries and three others, including a teenager, were transported to local hospitals after two overnight shootings in San Jose, police said.
One attack left a teenager with at least one gunshot wound on the 100 block of South 24th Street, just south of the intersection with Santa Clara Street, at about 11:15 p.m. Thursday. An hour and half later, at about 12:45 a.m. Friday, San Jose police arrived at the scene of a separate shooting outside a Pep Boys Auto Parts store on Kollmar Drive, about 3 miles away, where they found three men with gunshot wounds.
The triple-shooting sent one man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries; the other two victims were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
In the first shooting, the teenager’s wound was also not believed to be life-threatening.
The shootings occurred only a few miles apart and within two hours of each other. No suspects have been identified in either case, and police are investigating whether they are connected.
Anyone with information on either shooting is asked to call 911.
