HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Today and Saturday will be two of the warmer days of the forecast as high temperatures will be back in the low to mid 80s. For today, the warmest temperatures will be in the west. Some may reach the upper 80s. There’s a little bit of patchy dense fog in the west. Otherwise, some clouds in the south and east will gradually clear up. There may be some isolated showers later this morning and early this afternoon in Southeast Nebraska. Winds will be fairly light, mostly under 10 mph out of the north. This evening will be wonderful with clear skies and mild temperatures. Later in the night, some isolated showers will be possible, mainly north of I-80. Lows tomorrow morning will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s. On Saturday, temperatures will warm up into the low to mid 80s as a cold front dives south through the area during the day. Behind the cold front, there could be a few hit-or-miss thundershowers, mainly across Central and Eastern Nebraska. Those will clear out to the south during the evening. Behind the cold front, temperatures may cool down a little bit in the afternoon, especially up north. With skies clearing up Saturday night, temperatures will drop back into the mid to upper 50s and lower 60s early Sunday morning.
Sunday through Tuesday will be absolutely ideal with temperatures comparable to what we see around here in September. On Sunday, winds may be a bit breezy out of the north. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s. Expect mostly sunny skies. Sunday night into Monday morning, temperatures will fall into the 50s. Monday will be a mostly sunny day with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Lows temperatures Monday night will dip back into the low to mid 50s. On Tuesday, highs will be back in the mid to upper 70s. There could be some lower 80s out west. A chance for rain and thunderstorms will advance eastward Tuesday night into Wednesday. Some may linger into Wednesday night. Lows Tuesday night will drop to the mid to upper 60s. Highs on Wednesday will be back in the mid to upper 70s and lower 80s with the warmest temperatures again in the west.
There are signs of temperatures beginning to warm up at the end of next week. By Thursday, highs will be back into the low to mid 80s. Dew points will also start to climb a bit. The very end of next week could be a bit more active as well.
