NJ Transit crews are continuing to remove downed trees and repair overhead wires as service resumes after Tropical Storm Isaias blew through the region Tuesday.
Train service will resume Wednesday at 10 a.m. on a weekend schedule on the Northeast Corridor, Raritan Valley, Main/Bergen and Pascack Valley lines, the agency announced. The Atlantic City lines has resumed its regular schedule.
Some 250 trees were still being removed and repairs being made to the overhead wiring, or catenary line, that powers the trains.
Train service was fully suspended for hours in the aftermath of the storm as crews removed branches and uprooted trees that had fallen on the tracks.
Bus, light rail and Access Link are running on normal schedules.
