Arnold Schwarzenegger Celebrates Mars Helicopter With Some Classic Lines - Hollywood Reporter

Ingenuity on Monday completed a successful first flight wherein it rose up 10 feet, hovered, took a photo, and touched back down on Mars.

Arnold Schwarzenegger on Sunday celebrated what would be the initial flight of NASA's Mars helicopter Ingenuity by sharing some inspirational lines from his classic films.

The actor shared a video on social media about a minute long where he talked about his excitement about the four-pound helicopter that would send back images from the red planet, a first from that perspective, during its initial Monday flight.

"When I heard about this helicopter ride on Mars, I was so excited about it that I immediately thought, 'Get your ass to Mars!' But then I thought, 'They are already on Mars, what the hell am I talking about?'" Schwarzenegger said with a laugh, of course, quoting his iconic line from Total Recall.

Schwarzenegger continued, "I cannot wait for all the footage ... so I think the only thing I can say since we are dealing with a helicopter is... What do you think? Yes. Get to the chopper!"

That line of course comes from Predator and is a favorite by those attempting to do a Schwarzenegger impression.

Ingenuity on Monday completed a successful first flight wherein it rose up 10 feet, hovered, took a photo, and touched back down on Mars.

"We can now say that human beings have flown a rotorcraft on another planet," said MiMi Aung, Ingenuity project manager at JPL. "We've been talking about our Wright Brothers moment on another planet for so long. And now, here it is."
