Russell Westbrook now trails only Magic, LeBron in playoff triple-doubles - NBC Sports

Russell Westbrook may have the most triple-doubles in NBA history, but there are potentially many more accolades on his horizon.

With his 10th point in Game 4 of the Wizards' first-round series against Philadelphia on Memorial Day, Westbrook secured his 12th playoff triple-double of his career. He now trails just LeBron James and Magic Johnson on the NBA's all-time triple-doubles list in the postseason.

Coming off a triple-double in Game 3, Westbrook sported a stat line of 19 points, 14 assists, and 21 rebounds. The Wizards kept their season alive with a 122-114 win in Game 4 and cut the series to a 3-1 Philadelphia lead. Game 5 is on Wednesday at Philadelphia.

Westbrook's 12th playoff triple-double is even more impressive when considering the number of games it took him to get there.

While it took 109 playoff appearances for Westbrook to move into the top-three in this distinguished statistical category, James and Johnson have played in 264 and 190 playoff games, respectively.

The Wizards will need every bit of Westbrook's activity to come out with a win against the Eastern Conference's top seed in Game 5 to again keep the season going.
