MUSKEGON – There are not many things that Kendall Osborne doesn’t excel at on the basketball court.

The sophomore standout for the Montage girls basketball team added another noteworthy performance during her team’s 52-36 win at Oakridge on Friday night, as she nearly recorded a triple-double.

Osborne finished with 19 points, nine assists and seven rebounds to lead the Wildcats, while Haylee Schwarz added 12 points and seven rebounds and Claire Meacham had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Montague took a 22-15 halftime lead and erupted for 20 points in the fourth quarter to pull away and secure a West Michigan Conference road win.

“We came away with a great win against a well-coached and gritty Oakridge team,” said Montague head coach Nick Thaler.

Anna Lundquist scored 13 points to lead Oakridge, while Destiny Lane added six points.

Montague (2-0, 1-0 WMC) will host Spring Lake (1-1) on Dec. 7, while Oakridge (0-2, 0-1 WMC) will travel to Fruitport (0-1).

FRIDAY’S SCORES

Hudsonville 72, Mona Shores 33

The Eagles held the Sailors to 18 total points in the final three-quarters of play and cruised to a non-conference win Friday night.

Ali Phillips scored eight points to lead Mona Shores, while Khaleeya Cook and Mia Brown each added six points and Olivia Sobczak had five points.

Jaci Turbergen and Ella Reifschneider each scored 15 points to lead Hudsonville, while Ellery Baker and Ellie Petroelje each added 12 points.

Mona Shores (1-1) will travel to Cheboygan to take on Sault Ste Marie (1-0) on Dec. 11.

Reeths-Puffer 57, Spring Lake 29

The Rockets jumped out to a 13-4 lead in the first quarter and held the Lakers at bay the rest of the game for a non-conference home win Friday night.

Ariel Walker scored 18 points and added three rebounds and two steals to pace Reeths-Puffer, while Sophia Hekkema added 16 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals and Brooklyn Tornes had 11 points.

Alexa Carter recorded seven points and five rebounds to pace the Lakers, while Nicole Schmitt added five points and three rebounds and Meah Bajt, Sara Spooner, and Ella Andree each scored three points.

Reeths-Puffer (1-0) will host Ludington (2-0) on Dec. 7, while Spring Lake (1-1) will travel to Montague (2-0).

Hart 59, Mason County Central 12

The Pirates opened up the game on a 23-3 run to pull away from its West Michigan Conference rivals from Mason County Central.

Jayd Hovey finished with 13 points, nine steals, five assists and five rebounds to pace Hart, while Aspen Boutell added 11 points, three steals, three assists and five rebounds and Abby Hicks had 10 points, four steals and five assists. Addi Hovey had two points, six steals and four rebounds and Morgan Marvin added five points, nine rebounds and five blocks.

Hart (1-0, 1-0 WMC) will host Midland on Saturday (1:40 p.m.), while Mason County Central (1-1, 0-1 WMC) will host Montague (2-0) on Dec. 9.

Shelby 47, North Muskegon 18

The Tigers jumped out to a 22-10 lead in the first half and coasted to a West Michigan Conference win Friday night.

Kendall Zoulek scored a game-high 22 points to pace Shelby.

Emma Saint Germain and Molly Stewart each scored five points to lead North Muskegon.

Shelby (1-1, 1-0 WMC) will travel to Fremont (0-1) on Dec. 7, while North Muskegon (0-1, 0-1 WMC) will travel to Muskegon Catholic Central (0-1).

Whitehall 39, Ravenna 31

The Vikings outscored the Bulldogs 34-17 through three-quarters of play and held off a late rally by Ravenna for a West Michigan Conference win Friday night.

Charley Klint registered 16 points and six rebounds to pace Whitehall, while Ashley Tenbrink added seven points.

Whitehall (1-1, 1-0 WMC) will travel to Newaygo (1-0) on Dec. 7, while Ravenna (0-2, 0-1) will travel to Grand Rapids West Michigan Aviation Academy (0-2) on Dec. 6.

Ludington 57, Zeeland East 37

The Orioles outscored the Chix 27-18 in the second half to secure a non-conference win Friday night.

RyAnn Rohrer finished with 22 points to pace Ludington, while Keelyn Laird added 20 points.

Ludington (2-0) will travel to Reeths-Puffer (1-0) on Dec. 7.

Byron Center Zion Christian 52, Orchard View 26

The Mountaineers pulled ahead 25-10 at halftime and cruised to a non-conference win over the Cardinals on Friday night.

Elizabeth Estelle scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Orchard View, while Mia Martin added six points and eight rebounds.

Orchard View (0-2) will host Wyoming Tri-unity Christian on Dec. 7.

Grand Haven 48, Traverse City Central 30

The Buccaneers (1-0) will continue their Northern road trip with a game against Traverse City West on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Cedar Springs 51, Grant 45

The Tigers (1-1, 1-0 CSAA-Gold) will host Kent City (1-0) on Dec. 2.

Holton 52, Wyoming Lee 20

The Red Devils (1-0) will travel to Howard City Tri-County (1-0) on Dec. 7.

Muskegon 48, Kalamazoo Central 47

The Lady Reds secured a down-to-the-wire victory over Kalamazoo Central on Thursday night to improve to 1-1 overall on the season.

McKynna Sims finished with 18 points and six assists to pace Muskegon, while Iyana Brooks added 11 points and seven rebounds, Jamya Robinson had six points and nine rebounds and Alayna Hussey added six points.

Ludington 48, Benzie Central 11

The Orioles used a dominant defensive performance to roll out to a 30-4 advantage in the first half and coast to a non-conference road win Wednesday night.

Olivia Lynn scored 16 points to pace Ludington, while RyAnn Rohrer added 10 points and Aeelyn Laird had eight points.
