The Chicago Bears will battle the New York Giants on Sunday, where Chicago will turn to backup quarterback Andy Dalton with Justin Fields sidelined with an ankle injury.
While Fields remains out, Chicago will see the return of several players from injury or the COVID list.
Here’s a look at the Bears’ game-day roster and heading into their Week 17 game vs. Giants.

Justin Fields remains sidelined with an ankle injury suffered against the Vikings in Week 15, which means it’ll be Andy Dalton getting the starting nod. Nick Foles will serve as the backup.

The Bears have their fulls table of running backs available in David Montgomery, Khalil Herbert, Damien Williams and Ryan Nall, who was removed from COVID reserve last week.
Wide receiver

The Bears are getting back two more receivers in Allen Robinson, who is returning from COVID reserve, and Jakeem Grant, who is back from a concussion. They’re the healthiest they’ve been at receiver for awhile.
Tight end

The Bears are close to getting back all of their tight ends as Jesse James returned from the reserve/COVID-19 list. Although J.P. Holtz is doubtful for Sunday. Jesper Horsted remains on the COVID reserve.
Offensive line

The Bears are getting healthier at offensive tackle, and the only question appears to be who will get the starting nods at left and right tackle. Will it be rookies Teven Jenkins and Larry Borom? Or veterans Jason Peters and Germain Ifedi?
Defensive line

The Bears look like they’ll get back Akiem Hicks, who’s questionable coming off COVID reserve, for what could be his final home game with Chicago, but it’s also huge for this defense. Nose tackle Eddie Goldman is also questionable with a finger injury.
Outside linebacker

Robert Quinn has the chance to break Richard Dent’s single-season sack record of 17.5 against the Giants, as Quinn currently has 17 sacks on the season.

The Bears have their starting linebackers in place with Roquan Smith and Alec Ogletree, who are coming off another strong game. Christian Jones and Caleb Johnson are available at reserve while Joel Iyeigbuniwe remains on COVID reserve.

Jaylon Johnson is making his return to the starting lineup after missing two games due to COVID-19. It’ll be interesting to see who gets the nod opposite Johnson, as rookie Thomas Graham Jr. has been impressive in his first two games this season.
Safety
USA Today Sports
The Bears will have their starting safety duo back as Tashaun Gipson makes his return to the roster after being removed from COVID reserve. Which is good news considering Chicago is down to just four safeties after Teez Tabor landed on injured reserve.

The Bears special teams has been one of their most consistent units, and they’re getting back their Pro Bowl return specialist Jakeem Grant, who was battling a concussion.
