This may have been the first game on the schedule on Saturday night, but Giannis Antetokounmpo claimed the All-Star moment of the night with his spectacular performance against the Pelicans.
Antetokounmpo, who has been in spectacular form since coming out of the league's Health and Safety Protocols on Dec. 25, passed the great Elgin Baylor to move into 19th on the all-time triple-double list after notching 35 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists in a 136-113 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
This was Antetokounmpo's second triple-double of the season and 27th of his career. Next up for the Greek Freak on the all-time triple-doubles leaderboard - Michael Jordan at 18th with 28.
Even more impressively, he did it on super-efficient shooting - 66.7 percent (12-18 FGs) from the field, 75 percent (9-12 FT) from the free-throw line, and 50 percent from long-distance, confounding the Pelicans with a variety of moves from both inside and outside the paint.
Giannis Antetokounmpo passed Minneapolis/Los Angeles #Lakers Hall of Famer Elgin Baylor for 19th all-time in career triple-doubles.

It was the first time in his career that he scored at least 35 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists, and it was just the fifth time in Bucks franchise history that a player has done so. Antetokounmpo was the first player to record a stat line of at least 35-15-10 and 65 percent shooting since 1977.
The only other players to have done it: Wilt Chamberlain (eight times), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Alvan Adams.
Antetokounmpo is certainly making his case for a third MVP trophy with his play this season, averaging 27.8 points, 11.6 rebounds and 5.9 assists this season.
Milwaukee are now 16-2 when Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton all play. The win over New Orleans was the team's sixth in a row, and they are just half a game behind both the Brooklyn Nets and the Chicago Bulls at the top of the Eastern Conference.
