TODAY/TONIGHT: Today we will continue to see cloudy skies and calm winds. Temperatures will climb into the mid-20’s this afternoon with light winds out of the southeast. There will be a 20% chance of some scattered light flurries, but little to no accumulation is expected.
Tonight we will see mostly cloudy skies and a 30% chance of some scattered flurries. Highs will be in the upper 20’s with winds out of the SE 3-6mph.
FRIDAY: A ridge of warm air will push in for Friday which will help drive temperatures into the upper 20’s. Winds will be out of the SSW 5-10mph. There will be a 30% chance of some light scattered snow showers, but that looks like it will be mostly south of the Ports. And those who do see some snow, accumulations will be less than an inch.
WEEKEND: Saturday we will start out with cloudy skies, but the skies will begin to clear up a bit into the afternoon! Highs will be in the mid to lower 30’s with winds out of the WNW 5-10mph. Sunday we will have partly cloudy to partly sunny skies. Highs will be in the mid to upper 30’s! Winds will be out of the WNW.
NEXT WEEK: Temperatures will be falling throughout the day on Monday, otherwise expecting partly sunny skies. Tuesday will be a bit chilly with highs in the teens, but still some sunshine. We should be near average for temperatures through the mid-week. No major snow chances in the 7-day!
The Climate Prediction Center (CPC) has released the temperature and precipitation outlook for February. It's looking like we will have a greater chance of below average temperatures and an equal chance of above or below normal snowfall. We are in an Neutral El Nino (ENSO) phase and will likely continue to see a neutral phase through the spring.
