One person is dead after a triple shooting in Jamaica Plain during a violent Friday night in Boston.
Boston Police say they responded to a call for shots fired on Creighton Street in the Boston neighborhood to find three adult men who’d been shot.
All were taken to local hospitals — two with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, and a third with more serious injuries. That man was pronounced dead at the hospital, cops said.
One of the surviving men, 28-year-old Kelvin Pimentel had an illegal gun in his boot, police said. He’s expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on firearm charges.
No further information about what happened or the identities of the people involved was immediately available. Boston Police ask anyone with information to call the homicide detectives at 617-343-4470, or anonymously text “TIP” to 27463.
The police reported two other people shot overnight. At 12:37 a.m., one person was person shot nearby on Holmes Avenue in Dorchester. The person was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Then at 12:56 a.m., another person suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a shooting in the first block of Ruthven Street.
Cops in unrelated busts also nabbed two people who they says had handguns with laser sights. Shortly before midnight Friday, officers pulled over a car that they say had “excessive tints” on the windows, which is illegal. During the stop on Blue Hill Avenue at Columbia Road, cops found a handgun with a laser sight on it in the gear shift, police say. Cops say they also found money and crack cocaine. The occupants, Rafael Rivera, 21, of Jamaica Plain, and Rahmses Castillo, 24, of Dorchester, both face weapons and drug charges.
Then at 2:28 a.m., officers on Seaver Street pulled over another vehicle over window tint. Cops say they found another handgun with a laser sight in the glove compartment, and arrested 30-year-old Nicholas Brown of Cambridge, who now faces weapons charges.
