Another 99 new cases of COVID-19 cases in La Crosse County on Tuesday, two more deaths in Monroe County, as Wisconsin hit triple digits in deaths for the first time ever.
The average cases per day the past week in La Crosse is now 123. This is the third consecutive day the county has been under triple digits, however.
The positivity rate, according to the Coulee COVID-19 Collaborative dashboard, is 31.5% the past week.
There were also seven more county residents hospitalized over the past 24 hours. This month, there have been 91 hospitalized from La Crosse County.
In surrounding counties, a day after both Trempealeau and Vernon reported two deaths each from the virus, Monroe suffered its 12th and 13th deaths due to COVID.
It’s the first death in Monroe since Nov. 6, while Vernon and Trempealeau each have had nine deaths this month.
Here’s a look at other COVID numbers from surrounding counties:
TREMPEALEAU: 39 new cases (45/day past week – 2,256 total – 675 active – 21 hospitalized)
VERNON: 31 new cases (21/day past week – 1,029 total – 306 active – 18 hospitalized)
JACKSON: 16 new cases (39/day past week – 1,604 total, 345 active – 10 hospitalized)
MONROE: 33 new cases (50/day past week – 2,437 total – 405 active – 11 hospitalized)
WINONA: 57 new cases (49/day past week – 2,518 total)
HOUSTON: 12 new cases (14/day past week – 624 total)

Wisconsin: 363,973 cases, 16,209 hospitalizations, 3,115 deaths
Minnesota: 282,916 cases, 15,444 hospitalizations, 3,303 deaths
Iowa: 216,148 cases, 2,226 deaths

Statewide, Wisconsin added 6,202 cases, 279 hospitalizations and 104 deaths.
The single-day high in deaths in the state does come a day after Wisconsin had zero reported deaths Sunday and six Monday.
Minnesota added 6,423 cases, a single-day record 338 hospitalizations and 38 deaths. The state has only had over 300 hospitalized in a single day one other time — exactly a week ago.
