RICHMOND, Va. -- Steady rain will move east of our area this afternoon, with clouds gradually breaking for some sun, especially west of I-95. There will still be the chance of a shower into early evening as a cold front moves through. Highs will range from the mid 50s to the mid 60s across the region. With the change to Eastern Standard Time, today's sunset is 5: 11 p.m.
Clearing will take place tonight. It will be breezy and colder with lows in the low to mid 30s north and west, the mid/upper 30s across the metro, and in the 40s at the coast. It will be too breezy for any frost, but there may be some pockets of freezing temps well northwest of Richmond.
Monday will be mostly sunny, cool and breezy with highs in the low to mid 50s. Monday night will be cold again with some low and mid 30s.
Tuesday will be sunny with highs around 60. Lows Tuesday night will be in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
The rest of the week will be dry with a warming trend. Highs will get back into the 70s, and lows will rise into the upper 40s to around 50.
Tropical Storm Eta has formed in the Caribbean. It will track westward and head into Central America over the next few days. It is expected to become a hurricane before landfall. More info is available in the CBS 6 Interactive Tropical Tracker.
