WPD Make Arrests After Triple Shooting Wednesday Night - This Week In Worcester

WORCESTER- The Worcester Police Department have made an arrest following a triple shooting late Wednesday night.

According to the Worcester Police Department [WPD], officers received a ShotSpotter activation near 64 Madison St. around 9:30 PM. When police arrived, they found two gunshot victims — 22-year-old Timothy Kane and a 16-year-old male of Worcester.

A third victim — 22-year-old Kashme Craig — was dropped off at the emergency room of a local hospital.

WPD detectives learned that the shooting took place after a confrontation transpired between two groups. All three shooting victims were arrested and are charged in the shootings.

• Kane, of 32 Huntington Ave, Worcester was charged with Improperly Storing a Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, and possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
• The 16-year-old male of Worcester was charged with Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling, Armed Assault to Murder, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, and Interfering with a Police Officer.
•  Craig, of 3 Bigelow Road, Rutland was charged with Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling, two counts of Armed Assault to Murder, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, and Interfering with a Police Officer.

The investigation is ongoing.
