DeMar DeRozan scored 27 points, Patty Mills had 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting and Dejounte Murray recorded a triple-double as the Spurs downed Toronto 119-114 on Saturday night in their home opener.
Fred VanVleet, who led the Raptors with 27 points, missed a 3-point attempt with 3 seconds left with the Spurs nursing a 117-114 lead.
It was the first regular season outing for the Spurs at the AT&T Center since March 10, when they the downed Dallas before the coronavirus pandemic forced a four-month layoff.
Murray finished with 11 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds.
The Spurs finished the game on a 9-0 run that included LaMarcus Aldridge outbattling two Raptors for an offensive rebound that he converted into an inside bucket that gave the Spurs a 115-114 lead with 29.9 seconds left. The Spurs never trailed after that score.

After trailing by as many as 10 points in the first quarter, the Spurs used a 12-3 run to gain the lead in the second quarter and go into halftime leading 61-58 after outscoring the Raptors 28-19 in the period while holding them to 30 percent shooting.
DeRozan led the Spurs with 16 points in the first half. Walker and Mills scored 12 and 11, respectively, before halftime, as the Spurs hit 42.1 percent (8 of 19) from 3-point range.
The Spurs (2-0) flew after the game to New Orleans, where they will face the Pelicans today.
