Russell Westbrook has done pretty much everything possible when it comes to the triple-double stat, or so it seemed.
Having averaged a triple-double for three consecutive seasons during his career, the point guard has still found a new way to impress in 2020. By putting up 21 points, 11 assists and 15 rebounds in a loss to the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday, Westbrook became just the second player ever to record a triple-double in each of his first three games of the season.
The only other? Oscar Robertson. He was pretty good at basketball.
While Westbrook's beginning to his career in Washington has started out great in the stat department, it hasn't quite translated over into the win column. Following the result against Chicago, the Wizards are now 0-4 on the season.
The accomplishment is an impressive one for the point guard, but based on his reaction after the loss, it's clear what he really wants is team success.
