The Brooklyn Nets tied their franchise record for most points in a regulation game on Friday in their 147-125 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. As nine Nets finished in double figures, the group scored at least 70 points in the paint for the second time in as many games — the first for the franchise — and knocked down 19 3-pointers (season-high).
But while Brooklyn’s role players had a huge hand in the blowout win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Nets two available stars did well in Kevin Durant’s absence. Both Kyrie Irving and James Harden scored 25 points apiece. Harden also dished out double-digits assists (11) again, and managed to grab 10 boards to secure is third double-double in a Nets uniform.
With Friday’s triple-double, Harden became the first Nets player other than Jason Kidd to register three triple-doubles in a season since Shawn Bradley had three back in 1995-96.
