Police investigation blocks some Downtown Jacksonville streets - WJXT News4JAX

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Some Downtown Jacksonville streets were closed off by officers with the Sheriff’s Office on Thursday night due to an investigation.

The streets included Forsyth and Adams streets from Hogan to Laura streets.

A photo from a viewer appeared to show JSO’s defusal robot and some packages near a parking meter outside Gili’s Kitchen, which is on Adams Street.

Shortly before 10:30 p.m., police told News4Jax the packages were safe and that there was no threat to the public.
