Tuesday continues a week-long trend of hot weather throughout Greater Houston.
All of Houston and its surrounding communities are predicted to reach triple-digit heat index values, or “feels like” temperatures, by the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. The actual temperature will barely break 90 degrees, however.

The difference comes when relative humidity is factored in, which will be a seasonal 60 percent by 2 p.m.
Tuesday’s forecast will repeat itself Wednesday, with high temperatures in the low-90s and heat index values in the triple digits. But come Thursday and Friday, things will only get hotter.
Actual high temperatures are expected to be in the mid-to-upper 90s, meaning heat index values will be even higher. That could lead to a heat advisory later in the week, meteorologists said.
Rain chances pick up Saturday, with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Rain chances continue through Monday, with high temperatures in the low-to-mid 90s.
