Snow will begin to fall over parts of Massachusetts beginning Sunday afternoon and continuing into Monday morning.
The National Weather Service winter weather advisory said snow could begin falling around 1 p.m. Sunday. The advisory ends around 7 a.m. Monday.
Snow will start in western Massachusetts and reach the Interstate 95 corridor by early evening. The National Weather Service said the snow could cause slippery road conditions.
Snow accumulations of 2-to-3-inches is expected in some areas. Springfield, Amherst, Pittsfield, Worcester, Lawrence and Bedford could see 3 inches of snow.
Fitchburg, in Central Massachusetts, could see 4 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service.
Boston and Cape Cod along with communities southeast of I-95 should mostly see rain.
