The FBI is aiding Littleton police in investigating a 2002 shooting in a Littleton bowling alley that killed three people.
Officials working on the case were in the area of Interstate 270 and the Platte River on Tuesday, according to the FBI.

In February, a reward for information leading to solving the cold case was increased to $30,000, according to Metro Denver Crime Stoppers.
The FBI described the investigation as “active and ongoing.” Details were withheld from Tuesday’s “activity in order to protect the integrity of the case.”
A photo was posted on Twitter showing three men wearing FBI T-shirts — one shirt read “Technical Hazard Response Team” and another read “Underwater Research and Evidence Response Team.” A fourth person, in a wetsuit, was standing in the river in hip-deep water.
James Springer, 29, Erin Golla, 26, and Robert “Bobby” Zajac, 23, were fatally shot on Jan. 27, 2002, at the AMF Broadway Lanes Bowling Alley, 5485 S. Broadway, according to authorities.
Springer and Golla worked at the business and were finishing their shifts when the shootings happened at about 11:45 p.m., according to authorities. Zajac, who worked at another bowling alley, was awaiting a ride home from Springer.
Golla made a phone call to a friend at about 11:40 p.m. asking for a ride home, according to the release. Golla’s friend found the victims at about at 11:55 p.m.
At about 11:50 p.m., a young, white man with a bald head and a medium build was seen leaving the bowling alley. He was wearing a dark, below-the-knee length trench coat. The man got into a dark, late-model pickup truck, which left the area heading south.
Investigators suspect the murders are possibly related to a prior attempted burglary of the bowling alley on Jan. 20, 2002.
On Tuesday, the FBI thanked the “community for providing tips” and information and that the investigation indicates “there is no threat to the community.”
Metro Denver Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest, or arrests, of anyone involved in the case. Tips can be made at 720-913-7867 (STOP) or @crimestoppersco and tipsters can remain anonymous. Tips can also be made to the FBI’s Denver Field Office at 303-629-7171 and to Littleton police.
