Student killed in Hamilton triple shooting, police say - WXIX

HAMILTON, OHIO (WXIX) - One person is dead and two others were hurt in a Butler County triple shooting early Friday, police confirm.

Police were called to a home in the 1200 block of South 2nd Street in Hamilton, near Second Baptist Church, at 12:45 a.m., according to Butler County dispatchers.

According to the Hamilton City School District, a student from Miami School was killed in the shooting.

One of the shooting victims was taken to the hospital and has since been released, according to Officer Richard Burkhardt, police spokesman.

The other victim remains hospitalized, he said.

Police have not said what led up to the shooting or if anyone is under arrest.

The school district said the Crisis Intervention Team will be available for students and staff at the Miami School to support those in need.
