Police investigating triple shooting in Center City
An overnight triple shooting is being investigated by police.
PHILADELPHIA - Three men are in the hospital following a shooting that happened late Sunday night in Center City, Philadelphia.
Police responded to the area of 13th and Lombard Streets around 10:30 p.m. for reports of a shooting.
Three men, including two 19-year-olds and a 20-year-old were hospitalized after they were struck by gunfire. All three are listed in stable condition.
FOX 29’s Steve Keeley reports around 40 shots were fired at the scene, and several nearby cars and homes were left riddled with bullet holes.
Police say the incident may have been the result of a shootout between suspects who were firing at one another from opposite sides of the street.
The investigation is ongoing.
